  1.             How to Crack Simple Combination Locks

  8.      Ever seen those little 6 number rotating locks?  They
  9. are most common for locking up bikes, and EXTREMELY easy to
  10. crack.  The example I will be using is a 4 digit, 6 number-
  11. rotating lock, but this will work on any lock that even
  12. resembles the one i will show you.  OK, the only thing you
  13. need is the IQ of an average vegetable.

  15.      Now, we begin.  First, try to pull the lock open.
  16. Notice how the rotating thingies move each time you pull?
  17. Basically what's happening is that the latches are grabbing
  18. on to the rotater gadgets, causing them to slightly move.
  19. All you need to do is: turn the numbers until they stop
  20. moving when you try to open the lock.  Start with the first
  21. number obviously (if the first number is wrong then all of
  22. the numbers will move).  Continue down the line: 2nd, 3rd,
  23. then the 4th.  If you got them all right then the lock will
  24. open, if not, then try opening the lock,  looking carefully
  25. to make sure NONE of the numbers are moving (some locks make
  26. it difficult by having the rotators closer together making it
  27. harder to notice if the numbers are moving).  OK, if you dont
  28. understand what kind of lock i'm talking about, here's a
  29. drawing of the one I stole:
