  1.                              DDI DEMO SOFTWARE

  3. Copy all files from the floppy to your hard disk as follows:
  4.          COPY  A:*.*  C:
  5.  
  6. Begin the program by entering:
  7.          DDIDEMO
  8.  
  9. Get on-line help by pressing the F1 key.
  10.  
  11. In general use ALT-x where x is the highlighted letter at the top of the
  12. screen to select a menu.
  13.  
  14. After data is updated in a window use ALT-U to update in memory.  ALT-W
  15. in the main window will write all changes to the disk.
  16.  
  17. This demo software does not communicate with your radio or a DDI.  The
  18. data that appears is simulated to make the program feel like it is connected
  19. to a real DDI.  Not all kinds of data is simulated.
  20.  
  21. Many program options will work as they do in the real software.  For example
  22. if you select in the Goto window the option to change frequencies when a
  23. GoTo is detected in the control mode, then when a GoTo is simulated the
  24. software will follow to the voice frequency just as the real software does.

  26. Only 100 different phone numbers appear in the simulation.  To see the
  27. effects of searching for a particular phone number (in the ALT-S windows)
  28. use one or a bunch of the number that appear and they will appear again.

  30. This demo software was created from a particular version of the DDI
  31. software.  The real software may have had enhancements made to it since
  32. the demo software was created.
