  1.   Inventory Control Number

  3.   The Inventory Control Number is an identification number which you assign
  4.   to the pager. This number is stored in the pager. Unlike the Serial Number
  5.   of the pager, this number can be changed per your needs. It is also
  6.   important to note that the data entered in this field is used to create
  7.   the filename of the archive file for this pager. Therefore, it is important
  8.   to enter a unique Inventory Control Number for each pager if you are saving
  9.   each pager configuration to disk.

  13.   If you find yourself programming many of your pagers with similar or
  14.   almost identical configurations, you may want to create template files
  15.   and save them on disk. By entering a descriptive name in the Inventory
  16.   Control Number data area, you can save these template files with names
  17.   that are meaningful to you. When it comes time for you to program one of
  18.   those type of pagers, you can simply recall that template file and change
  19.   only those codes or options you need. At that point you should also
  20.   change the Inventory Control Number to reflect the proper tracking number
  21.   which you wish to assign to the pager. You should then save that file as
  22.   one of your archive files.
