  2.   Beep On Bad Data

  4.   This option selects one of two actions when the pager detects an error
  5.   in the incoming message:

  7.   If Beep on Bad Data is selected, the pager alerts and when the message
  8.   is displayed an 'E' will appear in the last digit of the last screen of
  9.   the message to indicate that an error occurred.

  11.   If Beep on Bad Data is not selected, the pager discards the entire
  12.   message and does not alert.
