  1. NEC  M4700 (TR5E800-11H) QUAD NAM
  2.  
  3. NOTES:  This is quad NAM unit.
  4.         The ESN prefix is 135 decimal, 87 hex.
  5.         NEC: 1-800-421-2141
  6.  
  7. 1.  This phone officially requires an NEC programing adaptor part
  8.     number 41-2012, if you have one attach it between the data cable and the
  9.     transceiver and power up the phone.
  10.  
  11.     If you do not have a programing adaptor one can be made from a 15 pin
  12.     D plug and a 15 pin D socket.  Wire it straight through and jumper pins
  13.     2 and 11.  Connect this between the transceiver and data cable and power
  14.     up the phone.

  16.     (New units may display FAULT 3 when first turned on, this is normal.
  17.     With your programing adaptor installed initialize the phone by entering
  18.     RCL # 0 1, RCL # 5 2, RCL # 0 2.  The phone should re-cycle and wake up
  19.     with no FAULT code.)

  21. 2.  Having powered up the phone using one of the above methods press
  22.     RCL # 0 1 to enter test mode.
  23.  
  24. 5.  Press RCL # 7 1 to enter programing mode.
  25.  
  26. 4.  (Optional) Press RCL # 7 6 N where N=0 (NAM 1), N=1 (NAM 2), N=2 (NAM 3)
  27.     or N=3 (NAM 4).

  29. 6.  The # key stores and increments each step.
  30.  
  31. 7.  Press CLR briefly to correct an entry.
  32.  
  33. 8.  At any time press and hold CLR to exit programing mode then press RCL
  34.     # 0 2 to exit test mode.

  53. LOCK: F * four digits = Partial lock, F # four digits = Full lock.  Use same
  54. sequence to unlock.
