  2.             By MacGyver, 1-25-91    Well here we go, my first volume of MacGyver's Anarchy. In 
  3. this volume I will go into a basic incendiary fuse and igniter. I. String Fuse 
  4. `````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````       This is a really easy to make fuse for igniting 
  5. incendiaries. Materials needed- string or shoelaces made of cotton or linen. 
  6. Potassium nitrate or potassium chlorate granulated sugar hot plate, 
  7. or stove cooking container, large beaker spoon reparation- (1)  Make 
  8. sure the shoelaces or string is clean. If they are dirty just wash 
  9. them. (2)       Dissolve one part potassium nitrate or potassium 
  10. chlorate and one part granulated sugar in two parts warm water. (If 
  11. you are using fertilizer grade potassium nitrate, make sure it is at 
  12. least 40% potassium nitrate, if possible use a nonmetallic spoon, and 
  13. try not to use a bunsen burner.)        (3)     Soak the string or 
  14. shoelace in the solution for at least five minutes and then remove 
  15. from the warm water. (4)        Hang the fuse to dry. Now you have a 
  16. fuse. Now to ignite an igniter with the fuse simply insert the dry 
  17. fuse in some igniter. Make sure the fuse can't move around when 
  18. placed in the igniter. Just ignite the free end and watch it go, 
  19. unless you are igniting some high explosives or a large amount of 
  20. incendiaries.II. Sugar-Chlorate @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ 
  21. This is another easy to make incendiary which is somewhat powerful. 
  22. gain we are using potassium chlorate. In later issues you will learn 
  23. some of the better things you can do with potassium chlorate. But 
  24. for now here's the sugar-chlorate formula.Materials needed- Granulated sugar(don't' use powdered sugar) 
  25. Potassium chlorate Nonmetallic spoon. Mortar and pestle (not really 
  26. necessary) jar with tight lid reparation- (1)   Using a clean spoon 
  27. and measure equal amounts of Potassium  chlorate and granulated 
  28. sugar.          (2)     If the Potassium chlorate has lumps or is 
  29. not consistent in       texture use the mortar and pestle to even 
  30. out the roughness.      This  mixture is most effective in powder rather than 
  31. crystalline form. It can be initiated by the String fuse,  pile of 
  32. match heads, magnesium ribbon or even  drops of sulfuric acid. 
  33. Sulfuric acid and magnesium ribbon is usually inconvenient. This 
  34. mixture can be stored in a tightly sealed jar for a few months.         In MacGyver's Anarchy Vol.2 I will cover Black powder, 
  35. smokescreens and Astrolite G(the strongest nonnuclear explosive 
  36. known to man).
