  1.                 The Authentic Mrs. Field's Cookies!

  3. Cream Together,
  4.                 1/2 cup butter
  5.                 1/2 cup suger
  6.                 1/2 cup brown sugar
  7.  
  8. Add,
  9.         1 egg
  10.         1/2 tsp. vanilla
  11.  
  12. Take 1 1/4 cup oatmeat - put small amounts in blender;
  13. blend until it turns to powder - set aside;
  14.  
  15. Take a 2 oz. plain Hershey bar - grate in blender
  16.         or by hand - set aside;
  17.  
  18. Mix,
  19.         Oatmeal
  20.         1 cup flour
  21.         1/4 tsp. salt
  22.         1/2 tsp. baking powder
  23.         1/2 tsp. baking soda
  24.  
  25. Combine all above ingredients ( except chocolate)
  26.         Mix well
  27. Add a 6 oz bag of chocolate chips
  28. Add grated Hershey bar
  29.  
  30. Make golfball sized cookies
  31. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 6 minutes at 375
  32. We doubled the recipe for a large bag of chips.

  36. The cookie recipe was distributed by a woman who
  37. saw an add for the purchase of the recipe.
  38. She thought that the price of the recipe was $2.50,
  39. so she sent her Visa card number so that they could
  40. charge her $2.50 on it.  Well she got her recipe,
  41. but when she received her Visa Statement, she
  42. then realized that she was charged $250 not $2.50.
  43. She explained that she misunderstood the add, but
  44. by then she already knew the recipe, so it was
  45. too late.  She even took the matter to court, but all
  46. her efforts were useless.  So, she wants everybody to
  47. know and use the recipe, so please tell all your
  48. friends.  I can't stand how much Mrs. Fields
  49. charges for her cookies.  A 50 cent cookie cost
  50. no more than 4 to 5 cents to make.  Doesn't that
  51. just make you angry!  If this was a more honest
  52. business, I wouldn't bitch about it, but it isn't
  53. so I'm bitching about it!!  Let's stop such
  54. profit making!!!  Use the recipe, give it to all
  55. your friends, upload it to as many boards you
  56. can, do whatever you can to stop this
  57. madness!!!  I'd love to hear your comments.
