VCL notes for DIARRHEA ANSI virus
*****************************************
Included in the archive are the VCL files for
DIARRHE4 and DIARRHE6 viruses, EAT.COM - the
ANSI program which produced EATIT.DAT for the
'dropper' table in DIARRHE6, FIND.DAT - the
file mask table accompanying EATIT.DAT, and
ALLIN4.DAT - the 'crunched' ASM product of
TheDraw-generated ANSI for use in DIARRHE4.
(IMAGELENGTH for ALLIN4 equ 263).
In addition find: DIARRHEA.COM (assembled DIARRHE4
virus), DIARRHE6.COM (assembled DIARRHE6 virus),
assembly listings for DIARRHE4 and 6 and accompanying
docfile - DIARRHEA.TXT.
Additional technical note: some text editors don't
like the files produced by FILE2DB. Most notable
among these is the MS-DOS 5.0 editor and a few
other 'off' brands. Strangely, the hex values
listed after 'db' are not passed through, although
they are present in the file and can be output
to the printer. Weird. (I have no idea why this is
happening.)
Finally, when you assemble these viruses you'll find
they're a few bytes short of the supplied copies.
This is because the archived viruses have been attached
to a 6-byte shell .COMfile through controlled infection.
This way, when they go out into the BBS jungle, they're
already encrypted and a bit more opaque to the casual prying,
uninformed passersby.
