PURGE.COM
Some people find this utility a little too scary to use. Others
can't live without it. PURGE removes EVERYTHING from the
current directory and all subdirectories of it, and then the
current directory itself. By EVERYTHING, I mean just that:
hidden files or directories, things with goofy or illegal names,
the works. Yikes!
Though PURGE is a wonderful garbage collector, it is also
liberating to some of us who do a lot of testing of things. You
can set up a test directory and even a complex nest of
subdirectories for it, and when you are done with your testing
you can clean out the whole ugly mess at one swat.
Run PURGE to see what happens: it will not do anything without
plenty of warning, and it will never PURGE a root directory.
