LSS.COM
Yet another directory lister. The strange name is a bastardized
unix name, but this is NOT like the unix "ls" command really.
It does not take the unix arguments and the output cannot be
redirected. Call it what you want.
Directory listers are much more common today than they were when
LSS was written.
Though LSS writes directly to video ram for speed, it more or
less simulates DIR/W/P.
o The display format is easier to read.
o It shows hidden/system files in contrasting color.
o It shows any read-only file by replacing the "." in the
file name with a "*".
o It shows a directory by replacing the "." in the file name
with a "\".
o If the display overflows, it will page.
o It will NOT sort or arrange anything: what you see is what
you have in your directory. Sometimes this is important.
o A convenient shortcut is used: an automatic "*.*".
If you type "LSS A" then everything starting with A,
and only that, will be shown. This is just like
specifying "LSS A*.*".
If you type "LSS AB" then everything starting with AB
will be shown, etc.
