  3.                    Filenames used by the *.QWK format
  4.  
  5.         BBSID.QWK is an archive containing the files from the
  6.         message door being sent to the caller.
  7.  
  8.             MESSAGES.DAT - a file containing the messages themselves
  9.                in 128 byte records.
  10.  
  11.             CONTROL.DAT - a file with info on the system, caller, and
  12.                conference names and numbers.
  13.  
  14.             999.NDX - one file for each selected conference that
  15.                contains pointers to the messages in MESSAGES.DAT
  16.                There are usually several *.NDX files in each
  17.                QWK file.  (Right justified, padded with leading
  18.                zeros to make the 3 characters).

  20.             PERSONAL.NDX - an optional file that is in the same
  21.                format as the other *.NDX files except that it
  22.                contains index records for all messages to the caller
  23.                regardless of which conference they were in.
  24.  
  25.             NEWFILES.DAT - an optional file that contains a list
  26.                of new files from the Bbs.
  27.  
  28.             BLT-0.99 - optional files containing ascii or ansi
  29.                bulletins.  The 99 extension is replaced by the
  30.                bulletin number (Left justified not padded).

  32.             DOOR.ID - an optional text file that contains info
  33.                on the capabilities of the door that produced the
  34.                QWK packet (so that the reader will only send
  35.                control messages that can be handled).

  37.             SESSION.TXT - an optional ascii/ansi file containing
  38.                info on the activity occuring in the mail door.
  39.  
  40.             Optionally it may also contain ascii or ansi screens for
  41.             Welcome, News, and Goodbye as named in the CONTROL.DAT
  42.             file.

  44.         BBSID.REP is an archive containing a single file of the
  45.         messages sent from the caller to the Bbs.
  46.  
  47.             BBSID.MSG - a file containing the messages themselves
  48.                in 128 byte records.  The format is similar to
  49.                MESSAGES.DAT.
