The Professional Analyst is an exhaustively thorough personality
assessment package that will provide extensive reports on virtually
all relevant aspects of a subject's psyche based on their responses
to a battery of True/False Questions. The operation of the program
is simple and intuitive, with pop-down menus and one-key commands.
To begin with a new person, choose "New" from the "Person" menu which
is displayed at the start of the program. Since the highlight bar is
already at the "New" option, you may select it by simply pressing the
Return key. To select other menu options, either use the and keys
to move the highlight bar or choose the option by pressing the first
letter of the option name.
The same technique applies to the other menu headings. Move to another
menu with the left and right cursor keys or press the first letter in
its name.
Once you have entered the requested information on the new subject, the
program will present a series of questions. Underneath each question
will appear two boxes, one labled "T", for true, and the other "F" for
false. True or False may be chosen by either using the left or right
cursor keys, or pressing "t" or "f". The up and down cursor keys will
move through the questions without answering them, and typing a number
up to three digits long, followed by a Return, will place you at that
question number. As you type the number, it will appear on the "#____"
line situated beneath the True/False boxes and may be edited before it
is selected.
Subjects can be filed from the main menu, from within the questionnaire,
or at any time by using the <Alt-F> key combination. Once Subjects have
been saved, they can be loaded or deleted from the disk by selecting
"Load" or "Delete" from the "Subject" menu.
For safety reasons, the "Yes" option of the "Quit" menu can't be chosen
by quickly typing "Y"; the menu bar must be moved to "Yes" and selected
by pressing return.
