  9. Commonwealth of Independent States and who can use citations to the
  10. literature about them now has access to our database, RUSSGUS. It lists
  11. German language publications that have any bearing at all on
  12. Russia/USSR/CIS.  Within that framework there are no thematic
  13. restrictions, and all types of publications (monographs, collections of
  14. essays, periodical and newspaper articles, reviews, even dissertations)
  15. are cited. The database currently holds over 100,000 citations and is
  16. constantly being enlarged. It uses the database software NDM and can
  17. thus be searched effectively from many different access points.
