  13. The Higher Education Resources and Opportunities (HERO) database is a
  14. 24-hour, on-line service that provides free access to valuable
  15. information from colleges and universities on scholarships, grants,
  16. fellowships, conferences, faculty and student development, research
  17. opportunities, partnership initiatives and other opportunities for
  18. minorities and women.  The service matches college and university
  19. opportunities with researchers, faculty, students and  institutions.
  20. Information for each participating school is updated on either a monthly
  21. or quarterly basis.

  23. All U.S. colleges and universities are invited to participate in HERO to
  24. announce programs, special services, financial assistance and other
