  1.                              Unprotect for Welltris

  4.  BE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR PROGRAM DISK BEFORE STARTING AND USE THE
  5.  BACK UP FOR THE UNPROTECT.
  6.  Modify only the backup copy!!!
  7.  
  8.  First you should rename the file or files
  9.  WELLTRIS.EXE TO WELLTRIS
  10.  
  11.  
  12.  Ex. C>rename welltris.exe welltris
  13.  
  14.  Next Load program into debug...
  15.  
  16.  Ex. C>debug welltris
  17.  
  18.  Then Follow the sample debug session:

  20.      -e 65ac 96 4e                      : enter patch
  21.  
  22.      -e b444 56 57 1e 06 c4 76 fc 8c c7 8e df 8c
  23.      -e b450 d7 8e c7 89 c7 83 c6 02 a5 a5 07 1f 5f 5e c3
  24.  
  25.  Now write the new welltris game back to the disk:

  27.      -w  <Enter>
  28.  
  29.      Writing XXXX bytes
  30.  
  31.  Then Quit Debug:

  33.      -q  <Enter>

  35.  Now it is time to rename welltris back to welltris.exe
  36.  
  37.      C>ren welltris welltris.exe
  38.  
  39.  Now try to run the new (Hopefully) unprotected version of Welltris
