  1.              Unprotect for EOA's Golf Unknown Version (IBM PC)
  2.  
  3.  BE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR EOA GOLF DISK BEFORE STARTING AND USE THE
  4.  BACK UP FOR THE UNPROTECT. THIS WAY IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG THEN YOU
  5.  ARE NOT OUT A GOLF GAME..........
  6.  
  7.  First you should rename the file golf.exe to golf
  8.  
  9.      C>rename golf.exe golf
  10.  
  11.  Next Load golf into debug...
  12.  
  13.      C>debug golf
  14.  
  15.  Then Follow the sample debug session:
  16.  
  17.      -e 8d21                    :   Edit the contents of address 8D21
  18.  
  19.      XXXX:8D21  9A.             :   Should appear
  20.                                 :   If 9A does not appear.. press enter and
  21.                                 :   quit immediately.  Your version is not
  22.                                 :   the same as mine.
  23.  
  24.  Now type "EB" then press the SPACE bar.
  25.  
  26.      XXXX:8D21  9A.eb   04.     :   Should appear
  27.                                 :   If 04 does not appear.. press enter and
  28.                                 :   quit immediately.
  29.  
  30.  Now type "47" then press the ENTER key.
  31.  
  32.  Now edit address 8d5a:
  33.  
  34.      -e 8d5a                    :   Edit the contents of address 8D5A
  35.  
  36.      XXXX:8D5A  9A.             :   Should appear
  37.                                 :   If 9A does not appear.. press enter and
  38.                                 :   quit immediately.  Your version is not
  39.                                 :   the same as mine.
  40.  
  41.  Now type "EB" then press the SPACE bar.
  42.  
  43.      XXXX:8d21  9A.eb   04.     :   Should appear
  44.                                 :   If 04 does not appear.. press enter and
  45.                                 :   quit immediately.
  46.  
  47.  Now type "13" then press the ENTER key.
  48.  
  49.  Now write the new golf game back to the disk:
  50.  
  51.      -w  <Enter>
  52.  
  53.      Writing XXXXX bytes
  54.  
  55.  Then Quit Debug:
  56.  
  57.      -q  <Enter>
  58.  
  59.  Now it is time to rename GOLF back to GOLF.EXE
  60.  
  61.      C>ren golf golf.exe
  62.  
  63.  Now try to run the new (Hopefully) unprotected version Of EOA's Golf
