.oO 1. LEGAL INFORMATION Oo.
This demonstration is freeware. It may be distributed as long as no
modifications are made and no money is charged.
Beyond and its members can not be held responsible for any damage caused
to media or hardware as a result of the use of any of our productions.
Beyond would like it to be known, however, that all of our productions
are thoroughly tested before release. It is only in the deepest faith
in our own product that any such software is released to the public.

The following is a list of files included in the ARISE archive:
ARISE.EXE 344,970 bytes - Main executable.
ARISE.DAT 1,448,140 bytes - Data file.
SETUP.EXE 51,564 bytes - Sound card configuration program.
TERRA-NO.S3M 945,876 bytes - Arise soundtrack.
ARISE.NFO 3,556 bytes - This file.
BEYOND.NFO 5,837 bytes - Information about the Beyond demogroup.
FILE_ID.DIZ 431 bytes - BBS archive description.
Any additional files are not required to run this demo, and may
be deleted.
.oO 3. MACHINE REQUIREMENTS Oo.
o A 486DX CPU, we recommend a Pentium or higher.
o 8MB of RAM.
o A soundcard, we recommend a GUS. (no sound is also supported)
o A VGA Card, we recommend VLB or PCI.
o A VESA accelerator such as Scitech Software's UNIVBE.
Since this demo makes use of the VESA VBE extensions, running a VESA
accelerator such as Scitech Software's UNIVBE will greatly improve
performance. UNIVBE can be found at:

If your sound card is not correctly auto-detected, run setup.exe to
configure it properly. The following soundcards are supported:
o Sound Blaster 1.x/2.x

o Pro Audio Spectrum
o Pro Audio Spectrum+
o Pro Audio Spectrum 16
o Windows Sound System
o Gravis UltraSound

.oO 5. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE DEMO Oo.
Pressing 'ESC' at any time will exit from the demo. Pressing 's' will
save a screenshot to the file 'screen.pcx' as a 640x320, 256 color PCX.
This demo was created on a 133Mhz Pentium with 16Mb EDO RAM, a #9 graphics
card, and an AWE 32 sound card. Technically speaking, it was coded over
the period of a couple months, but most of the work was done in the last
couple days before the competition.
