  2.                  U7READER Printed Circuit Board

  4.      These files are DXF versions of the U7READER keypuller
  5. circuit for 018-019 series VC 2 boards.  They contain schematic
  6. and printed circuit board layout diagrams that can be imported
  7. into any program that can handle DXF conversions (such as
  8. Autocad).  A few minor changes were made to the original ORCAD
  9. schematic diagram such as renumbering IC reference designators to
  10. eliminate a duplication, and adding eleven bypass capacitors to
  11. reduce noise on the VCC line.  The files are as follows:

  13.         U7LAYER1.DXF          Circuit traces on side one.
  14.         U7LAYER2.DXF          Circuit traces on side two.
  15.         U7SILK.DXF            Silkscreen layout of side one.
  16.         U7DRILL.DXF           Drill template for the board.
  17.         U7READER.LST          Parts list.
  18.         U7READER.DXF          Schematic diagram.

  20.      This circuit appears to be a variation of the New Wave key
  21. reader circuit that is described elsewhere on this BBS.  That
  22. circuit uses certain settings of the five DIP switches to match
  23. the particular VC model series.  It also contains a WARNING that
  24. INCORRECT SETTINGS CAN CAUSE YOUR KEYS TO VANISH!  This circuit
  25. probably has the same dangers, so watch out.  Whoever designed
  26. this particular circuit may be able and willing to help us on its
  27. use.

  29.      If anyone has diagrams of any other key reader/writer (or
  30. any other useful circuit for that matter), I would be happy to
  31. produce PC layouts such as those contained in this archive. Just
  32. leave a message anywhere in the Satellite section of this BBS
  33. addressed to ALL, and subject PC BOARDS.  I'll respond with a
  34. private message.
