  1. Configuring the UDS TA120 for TBBS BBS 
  2. --------------------------------------

  4. The UDS TA120 is an ISDN Terminal Adapter capable of transport speeds 
  5. up to 57600 bps asynchronous speed over ISDN (among other capabilities).  
  6. This describes how to configure the TA120 and the TBBS software to make 
  7. it work in a BBS application.

  10. TA120 Settings
  11. --------------
  12.  
  13. Use the control buttons on the front of the TA120 to adjust to the 
  14. settings described below.
  15.  
  16. The following settings apply to ISDN lines from a DMS-100 central 
  17. office switch.
  18.  
  19. Switch = DMS 100
  20.  
  21. B1 = CS
  22. B2 = CS
  23.  
  24. Protocol = Clear
  25.  
  26. Auto ans = on
  27.  
  28. Synchronous mode = 1
  29.  
  30. Bit rate = (irrelevant -- unit will adjust to correct speed)
  31.  
  32. Word length = 8
  33.  
  34. Parity = none
  35.  
  36. Stop bits = 1
  37.  
  38. DTE commands = on
  39.  
  40. Commands = AT
  41.  
  42. Change S Reg Configuration (Don't change)

  44. Adaptive mode = on

  46. EC Dis Ton = off
  47.  
  48. ISDN speed = 56 kbps

  94. Use TBBSs CEDIT.exe program to configure the ISDN line to these settings:

  96. Type in a new modem name:  UDS TA120
  97.  
  98. Hard wired = N
  99. Half Dublex = N
  100. Only 7 bit data = N
  101. RTS/CTS flow control = Y
  102.  
  103. Type = 3
  104. Speed = 57600
  105. Port = locked
  106.  
  107. Precondition string:  AT&F
  108. Init:  AT\Q3\N3&D2&C1V1
  109.  
  110. Result codes:
  111.  
  112. 57600 = CONNECT 57600
  113. 38400 = CONNECT 38400
  114. 19200 = CONNECT 19200
  115. 9600 = CONNECT 9600
  116.  
  117. (Note:  The V1 code in the init string sets the TA120 to give long 
  118. result codes.  Numerical result codes may not work.)
