Here are two messages that explain themselves, one passed along by the Native
Americans and another by people in the alt.slack newsgroup. I am simply
passing them along and am not advocating any specific course of action.

  This is almost too good to be true.  The following lists a number
  you can use to contact your legislators and let the self-RIGHT-eous
  pick up the phone bill.  They think you will be calling on behalf
  of their agendas, but you can petition for your treaty rights,
  discuss Little Rock Reed, Leonard Peltier, Tony Rios and other
  brothers the system is raining down on, whatever your needs as
  a First People might be.  The Christain Coalition, who provided
  the toll-free number won't know.

  I decided to pass this on in this group rather than in Wotanging
  Ikche.  I hope the knowledge will be put to a good use.

You can call Capitol Hill to tell your Congressperson or Senator what you
think AND charge the religious right for your call. Far-right Traditional
Values Coalition leader Rev. Lou Sheldon paid for a toll-free number so
anti-gay supporters could call congressional members and express their
political views. Well, anyone can use the same number and give the opposite
view directly to DC.  The 1-800-768-2221 phone number connects you directly
to Capitol Hill. Spread this post and the phone number as far as possible.
Make some calls and push up the phone bill for the religious right.

(I have tried the number and it does get you through to the "Capitol"
receptionist.  Just ask for the Congress person by name and you will
be connected to that office.)

This was sent to me by my sister who is attending the Jewish Theological
Seminary in NYC.  Stacey asks you spread this number as far and wide as
possible.

I thought you would be interested in spreading this among the Native
community. I hesitate to suggest publishing it in WI, simply because word
should not get back to the Rev. Sheldon too fast. If it does, the number will
be cut off too soon (might as well maximize their bill).
