  19.    The best methods of blowing up a car

  28.    The fuse, homemade, commercial or
  29. safetey, is wrapped a few turns around
  30. the exhause manifold. After a few min-
  31. utes on the road the exhaust manifold
  32. gets almost red hot and ignites the
  33. fuse.

  35.    This way is more certain than wiring
  36. the car because since it blows up on
  37. the road the wreck will do the victem
  38. in even if the blast doesn't. Besides,
  39. if the intended victim is a passenger
  40. instead of the driver, the driver may
  41. start the engine before the passenger
  42. gets into the car... You can see how
  43. embarrassing that would be to the
  44. bomber, can't you?

  46.    Old-fashioned types, like the Mafia,
  47. love to wire cars. They are too set in
  48. thier ways to change and besides, they
  49. get a charge out of seeing a car blow
  50. up before thier eyes instead of
  51. imagining it going to hell on the road.

  53.    They usually use about three sticks
  54. of dynamite, two lengths of electric
  55. wire with two alligator clips for quick
  56. attachment, and an electric blasting
  57. cap. The cap is stuck into a dynamite
  58. stick and its two wires are connected
  59. to the two electric wires. Then one
  60. alligator clip is clamped to the input
  61. side of the coil and the other is
  62. fastened to any metal surface in the
  63. car's frame as a ground.

  65.    This is very simple and you'd think
  66. anyone could do it. But sure enough,
  67. there are always morons who will attach
  68. one clamp to a spark plug and one to a
  69. ground. This usually results in mis
  70. fires and no end of frustrations.
