  21.   To me poetry is an expression of the soul.  I write poetry to tell how I
  22. feel, what I believe, what I fear, and what I like.  In my poetry I express
  23. my thoughts, feelings, and emotions.  When I write poetry - I escape.  It's
  24. like daydreaming, but it makes it more believable and more real than a dream.
  25. This probably sounds nuts, but it keeps me sane.  When this world gets to be
  26. too much, I just pretend I'm somewhere else, with someone else.. happier...
  27. better.  Someone can learn a lot about me just by reading my poetry... and
  28. that's why I like to write it.

  31. Crystal Wine Glass
  32. ------------------

  34. i sit at a table
  35. with a crystal wine glass
  36. filled to the brim with red
  37. i stare at the glass
  38. and see all my pain
  39. and with one drink
  40. it would all be gone
  41.  
  42. i can drink
  43. from the crystal wine glass
  44. filled to the brim with red
  45. and end my problems
  46. and my pain
  47. i can stop the rain
  48. the stinging rain
  49. from falling
  50. if only for awhile
  51.  
  52. i place
  53. the crystal wine glass
  54. filled to the brim with red
  55. against my lips
  56. and i can taste
  57. the smooth liquid
  58. and the desire grows
  59. i tilt my head back
  60. and with it the glass
  61. and i drink away my agony
  62.  
  63. i stare 
  64. at the crystal wine glass
  65. no longer
  66. filled to the brim with blood
  67. and nothing changes
  68. it only gets worse
  69. i drink to forget
  70. but it makes me remember
  71. what i am

  74. the crystal wine glass
  75. no longer
  76. filled to the brim with blood
  77. and smash it against the wall
  78. things will never change
  79. things can never change
  80. it's a never ending cycle
  81. if sleeping and feeding

  84. my sorrow
  85. my problems
  86. will never end
  87. and they follow me
  88. throughout the years

  90. so i drink blood
  91. out of necessity
  92. and desire
  93. and as the glass shattered
  94. so does my hope
  95. hope for a cure
  96. hope for a change

  98. so i continue to feed
  99. i continue to hate
  100. i continue to "live"
  101. and hope
  102. to die

  118.                 They can not be truted

  125.         I walk the streets at night, alone
  126.         Looking for my prey
  127.         Soon I will take flight
  128.         Crossing the sky at night
  129.         So alone
  130.         I have longed to find a love
  131.         For all of the hundreds of years
  132.         That this creature has prowled the night
  133.         But now I long for blood
  134.         I see a victim
  135.         Way down there
  136.         I can smell the blood in the air
  137.         And in a breath
  138.         I taste it on my lips
  139.         Now dyed red
  140.         Will someone help me esca from my hell?
  141.         Who would love a creature of the night?
  142.         If I had the strength
  143.         I would hold a cross up high
  144.         And watch the sun rise
  145.         But I am weak and can not do it
  146.         Oh how I have longed to be mortal again
  147.         They offered the gift of immortality
  148.         But they never said at what price
  149.         There is a lonely sole
  150.         Walking all alone
  151.         But there is something about him
  152.         What is it?
  153.         I can't anymore!
  154.         Can someone fall in love in a glimpse?
  155.         Can I fall in love?
  156.         A creature without a sole
  157.         Alive but dead
  158.         I want a normal life
  159.         The life I never had a chance to have
  160.         To go out at day
  161.         And have fun at night
  162.         What a cursed life I live
  163.         But what to do about him?
  164.         Should I approach him?
  165.         Can I resist the desire for his blood
  166.         And instead fall in love?
  167.         I approach him and try to talk
  168.         Try to make sense
  169.         All I can managesay is "hi"
  170.         I mumble to myself "he will not die"
  171.         The urges in me are so strong
  172.         But if I am to escape
  173.         From my endless night
  174.         I must fight
  175.         I'm about to walk away
  176.         When he asks me to stay
  177.         Could it be
  178.         That he can see
  179.         Deep inside
  180.         Where the love hides?
  181.         We talk for awhile
  182.         And I wonder if
  183.         I should tell him
  184.         About my curse
  185.         What would he say?
  186.         What would he do?
  187.         He asks if he can see me in the morn'
  188.         I tell him I hide from the sunlight
  189.         I live in the night
  190.         When the darkness outside
  191.         Matches the darkness in my heart
  192.         He seems confused
  193.         But agrees to make it night
  194.         And when he leaves I take flight
  195.         Still hungry
  196.         But with hope
  197.         What will happen?
  198.         No one knows
  199.         But in the end
  200.         He will die
  201.         And I again will be alone
  202.         Forever to fly
  203.         Through the night sky
  204.         Forever to feed
  205.         Forever indeed
  206.         Maybe someone will kill me
  207.         Or maybe I'll have the strength
  208.         Or maybe I'll remain alone
