Fast Login Wizard v1.5a
All Code By Odin Of Providence! In The Year 1996
------------------------------------------------
This PPE is a 100% Providence Production In 1996
This PPE is for PCB 15.21+
Providence! - "It's Quality Not Quantity That Counts!"
┌─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
│ -(¡) WHAT DOES iT DO? (¡)- │
└─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
This is a *BIG* update from my old FAST LOGIN PPE. The new options in this
PPE is just amazing! I think it's the best around because I haven't seen a
better one than this. =). The user can fully CONFIGURE what he want in the
login procedure. EVERYTHING is in his hands(almost anyway). It's all great
and simple to setup and everyone will be happy with it, both the user and
the SYSOP! =). So do yourself a favor! Use it NOW!
It's pretty safe also. Change the configuration file how much you want,
the PPE will form it's data files after your choices.
┌─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
│ -(¡) HOW TO iNSTALL (¡)- │
└─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
Here is a detailed description of how to install:
[A] Make a directory in the \PCB path.
Ex. "C:\PCB\PPE\FL\"
[B] Now, make another directory in the dir you made in [A]. It should
be named "\DATA\". This is a MUST.
Ex. "C:\PCB\PPE\FL\DATA\"
[C] Copy all the files from this archive to the directory. Look further down
for a list of the files which are included in the archive and should be
copied.
[D] Run PCBSETUP, press B and B, then edit the CMD.LST.
It should look something like this:
[COMMAND] [ACC] [PPE/MNU FILE SPECIFICATIONS:]
══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════
LOGIN 020 C:\PCB\PPE\FL\FLOGIN.PPE /CFG
The /CFG thingy tells the PPE to run the configuration part
of the PPE. If you just write FLOGIN.PPE it will start as
normal and show the prompt.
[E] Edit you logon.txt file who usully can be found in the \GEN\
directory. If you have several logon files edit everyone! Now
delete everything from that file and add the following line:
!C:\PCB\PPE\FL\FLOGIN.PPE
TIP: The ! tells PCB to run a door and % tells PCB
to show a textfile. Example: (for you newbies =) )
!C:\PCB\PPE\LAST\LASTCALL.PPE
%C:\PCB\GEN\BBSLOGO.TXT
[F] Check in the .CFG file and change whats necessary. I included the
instructions there so i didn't write them in this file!
[G] Thats all. Now run PCB and test if it works. If it doesn't go
through this text and steps again.
A bit about the configuration program:
If you choosen NO prompt to show, the program will use the options you
choose by checking if you have NO or YES on default alternative. For
example if you have turned the prompt off and choosen default choice as
YES, then the program will start all things you've choosen in the YES
column. If the default choice is on NO the program will start all you
choosen in the NO column. Easy eh? =).
IMPORTANT! How to start programs with tokens:
Whats is a token? A token is for example /CFG. Example:
!C:\PCB\PPE\ALLTOP.PPE /UPDATE <-- TOKEN
The /UPDATE thing is a token.
It's not possible to start a PPE with a token directly from the cfg.
You have to go around this problem. Do like this:
[A] Make a txt file that will start up the PPE with the token like this:
<begining of text file>
!C:\PCB\PPE\PPENAME.PPE /TOKEN
<end of text file>
[B] Make this PPE display that txt file:
name-on-option;%name-on-text-file
[C] Done. If you don't understand this please connact me.

Here is a list of the files that should be included in the directory:
FLOGIN .PPE - Main ppe that you run.
FLOGIN .CFG - The config file for the PPE.
FLOGIN .DOC - Thats this file that you're reading right now.
FLOGIN .PCB - The PCB screen to the cfg part of the PPE.
FLOGIN .PPS - The SOURCE to the PPE.
PIE-1996.NFO - The .NFO file for Providence! and info in short of this PPE.
FILE_ID .DIZ - This file is for bulletin board systems and describes
the PPE.
The PPE creates the following files:
\DATA\*.* - The DATA files with all the users options in.

Here comes the history for the PPE if you want to see it for some reason!
Version 1.Oß, not a public release. Beta test version.
Version 1.Oa, first public release.
* ADDED a configuration file.
* FIXED some file handling.
Version 1.5a, second public release.
* REWROTE the whole PPE and it's source.
* ADDED a lot of options in the cfg file.
* ADDED a configuration PPE for the users.
* FIXED so the data is in diffrent files for EACH user.
