I bought a great book a while ago -
'Plants Of The Gods - Their Sacred, Healing, and Hallucinogenic Powers'
by Richard Evans Schultes and Albert Hoffmann (yes, *that* Albert Hoffmann)
which could be of interest to many of you lot...
It is mainly about the ritualistic uses, history, mythology and effects of
the various sacred plants, as well as brief descriptions of the chemistry
of their active ingredients. It also includes a plant lexicon, and
overviews of plant usage, including uses of hallucinogens in medicine.
It has many illustrations.
It features chapters on:
Fly Agaric
Henbane
Deadly Nightshade
Mandrake
Cannabis
Ergot
Datura
Iboga
Yopo
Ayahuasca
Floripondio
Peyote
various fungi - Conocybe, Panaeolus, Psilocybe, Stropharia
San Pedro
and others.
My copy was published in 1992 by:
Healing Arts Press

USA
The price on the cover is $19.95
