Isao Yagi is yet another refugee from the suit & tie wearing domain, who has found his way to Computer Life. Isao has worked as an engineer, a businessman, a network administrator, and a BBS sysop, before administering commercial online service information providers, and coming to Computer Life.
The fruits of his labor can now be found on America Online, at keyword CLIFE. When you stop by and check it out, it may help to visualize Isao and his online compatriots toiling in darkened rooms-- blinking at dimly glowing CRT's with bloodshot eyes, and rattling keyboards with caffiene palsied hands-- to bring you what we hope is a nice online neigborhood. It's a big physical commitment to online publishing, sure. But to Isao, it is a happy trade-off for starched shirts and asphixiating ties.
Isao looks forward to the time when he can tell his grandchildren about his first 48K Apple ][+, and telecomnunicating at 300 baud. He claims to be as wide-eyed and thrilled about each new computer and communications development today as he expects those children will be in the future, after he tells them about how it all began.
