As Managing Editor, Beth is responsible for coordinating the production of Computer Life. While seamlessly orchestrating the art direction, editorial content, and layout of the magazine, Beth occasionally has the time to contribute her highly respected opinions to a review of the latest desktop publishing application or image-editing package.
With many years of magazine production experience under her belt, Beth returned to Ziff specifically to work on Computer Life, after a stint as managing editor of Electronic Entertainment. "I jumped at the chance to work on Computer Life," she says. "It's a great group of people to work with, and we're the first to get a hold of the new products on the market. What could be better?"
Even prior to this, Beth's influence was felt throughout Ziff-Davis Publishing, a she had contributed to the production of PC Computing as managing editor and Corporate Computing as computer systems supervisor. Her experience with leading consumer magazines goes all the way back to the late eighties when Beth held the position of editorial production manager at Inc. Magazine in Boston.
In her limited free time, Beth enjoys playing on her Mac at home, editing her personal videos, and manipulating images into an interactive story. "It's sort of a never-ending project that I doubt will ever bring me fame and fortune, but it keeps me out of trouble," she says.
