  1. HTMLed - An HTML Editor for Microsoft Windows

  5. About HTMLed
  6. ============
  7. HTMLed is an editor for Microsoft Windows 3.1 to be used to create HTML
  8. (Hypertext Markup Language) documents.  Information on WWW (World-Wide-Web)
  9. servers is usually in HTML format.

  14. - Foreign character tags support
  15. - Implements the full set of HTML markup tags

  20. - Converts the URLs in a MOSAIC.INI file to an HTML document

  28. The latest version of HTMLed is available via anonymous FTP from 
  29. pringle.mta.ca in /pub/HTMLed/

  81. Installation:

  83. Unzip htmed12.zip and put htmled.exe in a directory somewhere (preferably in it's
  84. own directory).  You can create an icon for it in Program Manager or just run it from
  85. File Manager by double-clicking on it.  Htmled.exe does not require any dll's
  86. or any other files.  It will create HTMLED.INI in the Windows directory.

  88. HTMLED.INI contains only setup options and will be recreated if deleted.  HTMLed
  89. does not create or modify any other files.

  93. HTMLed is distributed under the "shareware" concept.  You may use this
  94. software for 30 days for evaluation purposes, after which you must
  95. either register (see below) the software or discontinue it's use.

  117. Registration
  118. ============
  119. HTMLed is distributed as "shareware".  This means that you may use HTMLed
  120. for 30 days to evaluate it.  If you continue to use it after that period,
  121. you must register the software.
  122.  
  123. What do you get when you register?
  124. - You get the "registered" version of the software in which
  125.   the "about" box will not pop up everytime you start the program,
  126.   and of course it will not say "Unregistered Evaluation copy".
  127. - Priority for enhancements and additions to HTMLed
  128. - It will make you feel good!

  130. We will send you a registration password which you can use to convert your
  131. copy of HTMLed into the registered version immediately.

  133. HTMLed Pro will be available in early 1995.
