HTMLed - An HTML Editor for Microsoft Windows

Version 1.2d - January, 1995
About HTMLed
============
HTMLed is an editor for Microsoft Windows 3.1 to be used to create HTML
(Hypertext Markup Language) documents. Information on WWW (World-Wide-Web)
servers is usually in HTML format.
Features:
- Reads, writes UNIX files
- Foreign character tags support
- Implements the full set of HTML markup tags
- Floating toolbars
- Customizable floating toolbar
- Multiple Document Interface
- "Intelligent" insertion of HTML tags on a line-by-line basis
- Converts the URLs in a MOSAIC.INI file to an HTML document
while retaining the original menu structure.
- "Test" button to launch an HTML browser to test your HTML document.
- Saves files without HTML tags
- Document Templates
Where to get it:
The latest version of HTMLed is available via anonymous FTP from
pringle.mta.ca in /pub/HTMLed/
You should also be able to find it at large Internet FTP sites
such as ftp.cica.indiana.edu and ftp.ncsa.uiuc.edu.

Installation:
Unzip htmed12.zip and put htmled.exe in a directory somewhere (preferably in it's
own directory). You can create an icon for it in Program Manager or just run it from
File Manager by double-clicking on it. Htmled.exe does not require any dll's
or any other files. It will create HTMLED.INI in the Windows directory.
HTMLED.INI contains only setup options and will be recreated if deleted. HTMLed
does not create or modify any other files.

HTMLed is distributed under the "shareware" concept. You may use this
software for 30 days for evaluation purposes, after which you must
either register (see below) the software or discontinue it's use.

Registration
============
HTMLed is distributed as "shareware". This means that you may use HTMLed
for 30 days to evaluate it. If you continue to use it after that period,
you must register the software.
What do you get when you register?
- You get the "registered" version of the software in which
the "about" box will not pop up everytime you start the program,
and of course it will not say "Unregistered Evaluation copy".
- Priority for enhancements and additions to HTMLed
- It will make you feel good!
We will send you a registration password which you can use to convert your
copy of HTMLed into the registered version immediately.
HTMLed Pro will be available in early 1995.
HTMLed Pro will have features such as:
- The ability to edit files of any size
- Syntax Highlighting of HTML tags
- Support for HTML forms
- Other features
What does it cost?
$39 US or $49 CAN (if the exchange rate changes significantly,
so will this)
