In Islam, tales are told of how Iblis, or Satan, was made from fire and was cast down by God for refusing to acknowledge his new creation, Adam. As in the original Bible story he tempts Adam from the Garden of Eden. However, Islam does not personify him to the extent Christianity does seeing him more as an abstract presence of evil or simply as the representation of any rejection of Allah.
