  4.   Sound Card Support
  5.   ==================
  6.   This demo program supports most popular sound cards and will give you 
  7.   extensive music, speech and sound effects.  If you do not yet have a 
  8.   sound card, limited support is available via your PC's internal speaker.
  9.  
  10.   It is very easy to setup the HOORAY for HENRIETTA demo to work with your 
  11.   computer.  Before running the program for the first time, type  SSETUP  at 
  12.   the DOS prompt (usually C:\LANDER\HHDEMO>) and then press <Enter>.  SSETUP 
  13.   then detects the sound hardware installed in your computer, or you can 
  14.   select from a list provided.  Full on-screen instructions are given.

  16.   Sound card notes:
  17.  
  18.     1. Your card may be compatible with more than one of the listed
  19.        cards.  The most powerful compatible card will normally be selected
  20.        automatically.
  21.  
  22.     2. Should SSETUP fail to identify a suitable card, make your selection
  23.        manually.  If you have one which is not listed, select a
  24.        compatible one.
  25.  
  26.     3. Cards which support both digitized effects and synthesized music
  27.        can sometimes cause a computer to 'slow down' when both features
  28.        are in simultaneous use.  If this is a problem, disable either
  29.        music or speech (see Troubleshooting below).

  31.     4. If you change your sound card (or install one for the first time),
  32.        you must use SSETUP again.
  33.  
  34.   NB:  Users of the Gravis Ultrasound card must load the Sound Blaster
  35.        emulation utility (SBOS) before running either SSETUP or the HOORAY
  36.        for HENRIETTA demo.

  38.   Troubleshooting
  39.   ===============
  40.   When the program loads it will try automatically to detect various
  41.   features available on your system.  If the program does not find a
  42.   feature which it requires, it will not run.  On certain systems however,
  43.   the program may not be able to detect a given feature - even although
  44.   it is present.  If the program does not work on your machine, try
  45.   starting it in one of the ways detailed below:

  47.   type  HH /S then press <Enter> to bypass sound card checking
  48.   type  HH /T then press <Enter> to bypass music driver loading
  49.   type  HH /U then press <Enter> to bypass speech driver loading
  50.   type  HH /V then press <Enter> to bypass video display checking
  51.   type  HH /P then press <Enter> to bypass processor checking
