  4. Minimum Requirements:

  11. INSTALLATION:
  12.  
  13.     Once you have unzipped TextPad, do the following:
  14.       1) Move CTL3DV2.DLL or CTL3D32.DLL to your Windows system
  15.          directory.
  16.       2) Move TXTPAD.PIF to your Windows directory (16-bit edition
  17.          only).
  18.       3) Add TEXTPAD.EXE to a Program Manager group.
  19.  
  20.     There is no need to modify your search path.
  21.  
  22.     To enable TextPadÆs DDE capabilities, you can use REGEDIT to merge
  23.     the TEXTPAD.REG file, but you must edit it first to give the correct
  24.     path to the TextPad executable.  It assumes that your installation
  25.     directory is C:\TEXTPAD.  See the online help for more information.

  27. DRAG AND DROP:
  28.  
  29.     OLE2 drag and drop is only available in the 16-bit edition, and
  30.     if you already have OLE2 installed.  Sorry, but the OLE2 files
  31.     are too big to distribute as shareware, and are not implemented
  32.     for NT 3.1.  Local drag and drop is available, but scrolling has
  33.     not been implemented.

  35. REGISTRATION:
  36.  
  37.     If you make use of TextPad you must register it.  Registered users
  38.     will receive a copy of the latest version for NT 3.5, which is also
  39.     Windows '95 ready, along with the Win32s and OLE2 files necessary
  40.     for running in 32-bit mode on Windows 3.1.

  42.     Click the Register button on the About dialog box for details.
