Spelling Sentry 1.4 Release Notes

For information on installing, using, and registering Spelling
Sentry, please read the following files:

GETTING HELP

Wintertree Software will be pleased to answer questions and provide
assistance on installing Spelling Sentry to both registered and
non-registered users.
For registered users, Wintertree Software will answer questions and
fix problems not related to installation at no charge. Wintertree
Software reserves the right to limit this assistance to the 90-day
period following the date of registration.

KNOWN PROBLEMS
================================================================
Some users have reported an incompatibility between the
installation program used by Spelling Sentry (INSTALL.EXE) and
the Diamond Viper video driver. If you experience problems
running INSTALL.EXE, simply copy all files from the Spelling
Sentry distribution diskette to a directory on your hard
drive. (NOTE: INSTALL.EXE is provided only with the registered
version of Spelling Sentry).

- Fixed a problem where single-character words were being ignored.
- Removed erroneous "Assertion failure" message when checking
clipboard text containing a single word.
- Clear the context display when checking a new document.
1.2 January 1994
- Improved the error messages displayed when a file can't be opened.
- Fixed a problem that caused large Write files to be corrupted
when replacements were made.
- Improved handling of embedded pictures within Write files.
- Added Search for help on... menu item.
- Improved DLL performance by about 10%
- Fixed DLL so lexicon files (SPSENTRY.LD, SPSENTRY.LF, and
SPSENTRY.LI) can be placed in any directory in the Windows
search path

- Removed user/supplemental/exclusion lexicons
- Added change-type, ignore-type, and suggest-type lexicons
- Added Ignore mixed case option
- Added Report mixed case and Report numbers/symbols options
- Added Delete button for deleting second occurrence of a
doubled word
- Problem word is now shown highlighted in context area
- Shift/Ignore All now adds word to ignore-type lexicon
- Shift/Replace All now adds word and replacement to change-type
lexicon
- Added American/British spelling rules option

- Now remembers directory containing last checked file and
file type (TXT/WRI/*.*) selected in Check File dialog
- Fixed a problem with saving suggest-type lexicon file name
in SPELLSEN.INI
- Now display "Replace x with y" if word checked with Check Word
is found in change-type or suggest-type lexicon
