-
- 1. Return to Main Menu: This returns you to the main menu.
-
- 2. Quick Report: This option gives a quick rundown on several standard
- items of interest.
-
- 3. Standard Parameter: Run a standard parameter, this is described below.
-
- 4. Iterative Parameters: This will allow you to test a parameter by going
- through the database and determining the numbers a given parameter produces,
- then comparing those numbers against the following draw. You may choose any-
- where from 1-104 iterations. (Iteration - something done over and over again)
-
- 5. Create New Parameter: This selection is one of the most powerful features of
- LottoMaster 128. It will be easier to give an example:
-
- The method of picking numbers that I personally use, is to choose
- only those numbers that have hit at least once in the last 5 games, and
- also hit at least 3 times in the last 10 games. You could use the
- weeks since last hit chart and manually write down the numbers, but I
- can tell you from past experience that this takes quite a while to do!
- Or, you can create a parameter to tell LottoMaster 128 to do all this
- for you....
-
- The parameter 1/5and3/10 (notice: no spaces allowed) will give me
- the numbers I want. Or if I want just numbers that have hit 5 times
- in the last 15 games, the parameter 5/15 would give me the info. Or
- if you like to play long-shots and wanted a list of numbers that have
- not hit for the last 20 games, you could use 0/20. Notice that the first
- number MUST be smaller than the second number ie: 7/5 would tell the
- program to search for numbers that have hit at least 7 times in the last
- 5 games! LottoMaster will not take this as a valid parameter.
-
- If you want to use only numbers that hit in 3 draws 15 games back,
- you can use 1/3=15. Some people have theorized that certain ranges of
- games in the past (a certain number of games back, called 'Lona' ranges),
- give a high percentage of winning numbers. You can use LottoMaster 128
- to determine this for yourself.
-
- If you want to use numbers that have 'doubled up' (hit twice in a row)
- or tripled up, you can use D/15 or T/15. This will search back through
- the last 15 games to see what numbers hit more than once in a row.
-
-
- I realize that this is somewhat complicated, and I hope you under-
- stand my explanation. It is a very powerful feature that you will
- probably use quite often, so re-read this description until you fully
- understand this section. LottoMaster 128 comes with 10 of the 20 para-
- meters already assigned. You may of course change them to whatever
- you want.
-
- This section is also where you can experiment with different ways to
- pick your numbers. By comparing different parameters with the actual
- winning numbers, you can refine your own methods of choosing numbers.
- I have been very happy with 1/5and3/10, but I'm still experimenting,
- and fine tuning my ways of picking numbers. LottoMaster 128 is the
- tool needed to do this type of analysis.
-
- Now, another comment about 'Iterative' parameters: Running standard
- parameters will instruct the program to search the database, and give
- you the numbers it finds... running the iterative parameters does the
- same thing, but always at least one game BACK, then compares the results
- to the winning numbers on the recent game. By using the iterative
- procedure on different parameters, I've recently come to the conclusion
- that numbers that have doubled/tripled up, are VERY good choices to
- include in your lotto bets. Take a look at it!
-
- One more comment: it's easy to come up with a parameter that will give
- you all five winning numbers in a Pick 5/39. Try using 1/15 as an example,
- in the majority of times, it will predict all 5 winning numbers. Just one
- slight problem, it also gives you 30+ numbers that are NOT winning numbers.
- The trick of course, is to develop parameters that give you good choices
- to use, but with only enough numbers to work with. For example, D/10 will
- only give you an average of 5 numbers, but many times 1-2 of those numbers
- are winning numbers. I'm running LottoMaster on another computer as I
- type these help files, and on the 07/25/95 California Pick 5/39 game,
- the parameter D/10 gave more than the average numbers - it predicted 9
- numbers - but 4 of them were on the winning ticket! The number 12 was
- the only number this parameter did not predict!
