------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Golf-Pro is a utility designed for hard disk users who have many Mean-18
courses that they wish to play with Mean-18.
Golf-Pro allows you to keep all of your courses in archived format on disk
thus saving tons of disk space (as well as solving the 3 course limit imposed
by Accolade's Mean-18!).
To use Golf-Pro you MUST have a copy of PKXARC and PKARC (available from
most Bulletin boards). These files must reside in the same directory as
GPRO or somewhere in your DOS path.
When running GPRO.EXE, GOLF.EXE must reside in your "current" directory.
You should archive all of your golf courses (using PKARC- also
available on most Bulletin boards) and delete all of the regular coarse
files (DEL *.M18). NOTE - GPRO also supports *.M10 course files to
be compatable with files renamed for another golf utility.
GPRO.EXE is invoked either of the following ways:
GPRO - this will bring you to the main menu where you have the
following choices:
1. Display/Delete saved games
2. Select Course and play golf
3. Execute GolfLog utility (see note above)
4. Select and Design Course (runs ARCH.EXE)
9. Exit - finishes program
In order to receive the next release of Golf-Pro free of charge and
notification of any new releases of Golf-Pro and any other utilities of mine,
you must register your copy of Golf-Pro by sending $10 to Michael C. Taylor
at the above address. In addition to golf-pro, you will also be informed of
any other new products for Mean-18 that I'm developing.
Other Golf files of mine:
CADDY 2.5 - brings up pop-up help window for various swings and
various clubs during the Golf game!
GOLFLOG 1.1 - Hall of fame report utility. Displays hall of fame
files for selected course or creates a full hall of
fame report (all Courses) for selected initials and
game play options.
Coming soon:
Tournament and Tournament Manager - Manages a complete MEAN-18
tournament with handicapping! Ensures that all
participants play with Pro/Expert options and prevents
cheating during tournament.
