  6.            Loading New Definitions
  7.  
  8. To update NAV 3.0 or NAV for NetWare 1.0 with new virus definitions,
  9. do the following:
  10.  
  11. Note:  Each definition set completely replaces the current set so
  12.        only the latest is required.
  13.  
  14. For NAV 3.0, from DOS:
  15.  
  16. 1) Insert the definition update disk into the floppy disk drive.
  17.    (The example below uses A: drive.)
  18.  
  19. 2) To update the definition files, type the following at the DOS prompt:
  20.  
  21.    COPY A:\NAV30\VIR*.* C:\NAV
  22.  
  23.    where "C:\NAV" is the directory where your antivirus software is
  24.    installed.
  25.  
  26. 3) The next time you run NAV, the new definitions will automatically be used.
  27.  
  28. For NAV for NetWare 1.0, from DOS:
  29.  
  30. 1) Map a drive letter (the example below uses H:) to the volume and
  31.    directory where NAV for NetWare is installed.  Insert the definition
  32.    update disk into the floppy drive, the example below uses A:.
  33.  
  34. 2) To update the definition files, type the following at the DOS prompt:
  35.  
  36.    COPY A:\NAV30\VIR*.* H:
  37.  
  38.    where H: is mapped to the volume/directory where NAV for NetWare is
  39.    installed.
  40.  
  41. 3) Disable, then Enable, NAV for NetWare, using either the NAV for NetWare
  42.    Windows configuration component, or at the server console using the
  43.    function keys.  This loads the new definitions for use.
