ALF v1.0 by Tim Suckow
File Alphabetizer
ALF is a very simple program which is intended to make your
life a little bit simpler. It will take any file and alphabetize
the contents.
To start the program, type ALF [enter]. You will then be
presented with the prompt, "Input file?" Type the name of the file
you would like alphabetized. After you press [enter] ALF asks,
"Output File?" Put in the name of the file you want to be created
which contains the new alphabetized listing.
The one limitation ALF has is that you may not alphabetize any
files which contain over 2000 lines. In most cases, this should
not be a problem.
A file has been included within this archive which you may test
ALF with. CDLIST.OLD is a text file which contains a list of my CD
collection. Try to use ALF to alphabetize this list.
This program is being distributed as FREEWARE. That means you
do not have to pay for it! It is a free program, because I think
such a simple program is not worth charging for.
If you like ALF, you are encouraged to log on to the author's
BBS, Landing Approach. (616) 744-0772, 24 hours, 14.4 bps. There
are other utilities which I have written in the file area, "Written
by Landing Approach Software." Most of those programs are
utilities for the SPITFIRE BBS SOFTWARE system and are Shareware.
Thank you for using ALF!
