  1. Amendments (Seven through Twelve)

  3. 7th Amendment
  4.           In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed
  5.    twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved; and no fact,
  6.    tried by a jury, shall be otherwise reexamined in any court of the United
  7.    States than according to the rules of the common law.

  9. 8th Amendment
  10.           Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed,
  11.    nor cruel and unusual punishment inflicted.

  13. 9th Amendment
  14.           The enumeration in the Constitution of certain rights shall not be
  15.    construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

  17. 10th Amendment
  18.           The powers not delegated to the United States shall not be construed
  19.    to extend to any suit in law or equity, commenced or prosecuted against one
  20.    of the United States by citizens of another State or by citizens or
  21.    subjects of any foreign state.

  23. 11th Amendment
  24.           The judicial power of the United States shall not be construed to
  25.        extend to any suit in law or equity, commenced or prosecuted against
  26.    one of the United States by citizens of another State or by citizens
  27.    or subjects of any foreign state.

  29. 12th Amendment
  30.           The Electors shall meet in their respective States, and vote by
  31.    ballot for President and Vice President, one of whom, at least, shall not
  32.    be an inhabitant of the same State with themselves; they shall name in
  33.    their ballots the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots
  34.    the person voted for as Vice President; and they shall make distinct lists
  35.    of all persons voted for as President, and of all persons voted for as Vice
  36.    President, and of the number of votes for each, which lists they shall
  37.    sign, and certify, and transmit, sealed, to the seat of the Government of
  38.    the United States, directed to the President of the Senate; the President
  39.    of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and the House of
  40.    Representatives, open all the certificates, and the votes shall then be
  41.    counted; the person having the greatest number of votes for President shall
  42.    be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of
  43.    Electors appointed; and if no person have such a majority, then, from the
  44.    persons having the highest numbers, not exceeding three, on the list of
  45.    those voted for a President, the House of Representative shall choose
  46.    immediately, by ballot, the President.  But in choosing the President, the
  47.    votes shall be taken by States, the representation from each State having
  48.    one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members
  49.    from two-thirds of the States, and a majority of all the States shall be
  50.    necessary to a choice.  And if the House of Representatives shall not
  51.    choose a President, whenever the right of choice shall devolve upon them,
  52.    [before the fourth day of March next following] the Vice President shall
  53.    act as President, as in case of death, or other constitutional disability
  54.    of the President.  The person having the greatest number of votes as Vice
  55.    President, shall be the Vice President, if such number be a majority of the
  56.    whole number of Electors appointed; and if no person have a majority, then,
  57.    form the two highest numbers on the list, the Senate shall choose the Vice
  58.    President; a quorum for the purpose shall consist of two-thirds of the
  59.    whole number of Senators; a majority of the whole number shall be necessary
  60.    to a choice.  But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of
  61.    President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.
