  2.                          WHAT IS SHAREWARE???

  4.             Shareware is a  special  type  of  software.   It can be
  5.        called a variety of names, but very basically,  shareware  is
  6.        "try before you buy".  Shareware authors allow you to try the
  7.        program at no or little cost to you.  Try it, if you like it,
  8.        send in the requested registration fee.  If it isn't what you
  9.        were  looking  for,  try  something else.  But please, if you
  10.        find yourself using a  shareware  program on a regular basis,
  11.        consider sending the author his  requested  fee.   This  will
  12.        encourage  the  shareware  authors to continues providing you
  13.        with quality products at reasonable cost.

  19.             At the time  I  write  each  review,  I  try to find the
  20.        latest version possible.  There may be times when you read  a
  21.        review,  the  program has gone through several modifications.
  22.        Always look for the  latest  version.  Most BBS systems allow
  23.        for file searchs.

  26.                          SUPPORT THOSE AUTHORS

  28.             Shareware  authors,  for  the most part, are not a large
  29.        company.  They don't hire high priced programmers, developers
  30.        and market experts.   Usually,  they  are  just hobbiest like
  31.        ourselfs that happen to enjoy programming.  As you well know,
  32.        there is some very good software written by these  people  in
  33.        thier  spare  time in a little corner of thier home where the
  34.        computer sits.  These people  put  thier  trust  in a form of
  35.        distribution called Shareware.  In essence, they are  putting
  36.        that trust in us.  So please, if you use a program regularly,
  37.        send in the requested registration.
