Tony Fredianelli Breakneck Speed (Shrapnel)- Thrash metal has come to rest on
the label of the technically adept guitarist. The arrival may be welcomed by
many a thrash/grunge fan. (I do not count myself amongst this number.) This
particular record has a touch of funk, rap and metal (particularly on tunes
such as "From The Curb"). Don't expect any delicate melodies or rest from
the vicious beat except in the way of short vocal interludes. "Chopped Suey"
has a short seemingly "out of place" anthem voiced in a half-comical fashion
at its introduction. The fretboard gymnastics typical of the label are not
to be found, so don't expect them either. (3)
