  1.  INTRODUCTION
  2.  ============
  3.  Your willingness to evaluate CMTS is greatly appreciated.  You will soon
  4.  discover why CMTS has become one of the leading church management packages
  5.  available.  This software is marketed as shareware, however it compares
  6.  favorably with commercial("retail") church systems often selling for several
  7.  thousand dollars.  It is marketed entirely on the honor system, and 
  8.  furthermore, you register only those modules you wish to use.
  9.  
  10.  SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
  11.  ===================
  12.  The software requires a DOS compatible computer with a minimum of 640K
  13.  memory running DOS version 3.0 or higher and a hard drive.   A minimum
  14.  of 5 MEG of free disk space is required to install the system.
  15.  
  16.  INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
  17.  =========================
  18.  In some instances, you are receiving CMTS as three self-extracting
  19.  files, CMTS33A.EXE, CMTS33B.EXE and CMTS33C.EXE.  In other instances, the 
  20.  software is distributed as CMTS33A.ZIP, CMTS33B.ZIP, and CMTS33C.ZIP.  If you
  21.  experience any difficulty in installing this software, do not hesitate
  22.  to call for help.  We will be glad to assist you.

  24.  IF THE SOFTWARE IS IN SELF-EXTRACTING EXE FORMAT
  25.  ================================================
  26.  Place the disk (or disk 1 if multiple disks) into the drive and type
  27.  A:INSTALL or B:INSTALL as appropriate.  The installation is automatic.

  29.  IF THE SOFTWARE IS IN ZIP FORMAT
  30.  ================================
  31.  If the software is in a ZIP format, do the following: 
  32.  
  33.  1. Create a directory called CMTS33.
  34.  
  35.     Example:          MD \CMTS33                Press <ENTER>
  36.  
  37.  2. Make that your active directory.
  38.  
  39.     Example:          CD \CMTS33                Press <ENTER>
  40.  
  41.  3. Copy the three CMTS zip files to the directory and then unzip them.
  42.  
  43.                       PKUNZIP CMTS33A           Press <ENTER>
  44.                       PKUNZIP CMTS33B           Press <ENTER>
  45.                       PKUNZIP CMTS33C           Press <ENTER>

  47.  CREATING SAMPLE DATA FILES
  48.  ==========================
  49.  Before CMTS can be run, data files must be created.  The program FILECRE.EXE
  50.  will create sample data files to assis in quickly evaluating the look and
  51.  feel of the software.  This same program must be run again to create live
  52.  data files prior to actual implementation.  SEE CHAPTER 11 OF THE USER'S
  53.  MANUAL for details of live implementation.

  57.  IMPORTANT:  Insure that your CONFIG.SYS file contains values at least
  58.              as great as "FILES = 50" (or greater). Failure to do this
  59.              will result in the DOS "Too many open files" error.  In case
  60.              of difficulty installing this software, please give us a

  63.  RUNNING THE PROGRAMN
  64.  
  65.  Once the software is intalled and sample data files are built, run the
  66.  the program by executing CMTS.

  71.  LIVE IMPLEMENTATION
  72.  ===================
  73.  After evaluating the software using the sample data files, empty files
  74.  must be created using FILECRE.EXE.  Read chapter 11 of the manual on
  75.  Live Implementation for more information prior to going live.

  77.  IF YOU ARE A REGISTERED USER UPGRADING FROM AN EARLIER VERSION OF CMTS
  78.  ======================================================================
  79.  Many of the file layouts have changed from earlier versions of the
  80.  software.  If you are upgrading from an earlier version, follow the
  81.  upgrade instructions enclosed with your registered package and run
  82.  the conversion program specific to the version you are converting from. 
  83.  In no instance, is it necessary to re-enter any information.
  84.
