  419.             Learn to be a disciple takes a lifetime.

  431.                BY MINISTERING WE OPERATE IN A NEW DIMENSION OF POWER.

  434.             - "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me" (personal)
  435.             - "He  hath  anointed  me to preach to the  poor"
  436.               (spiritual power)
  437.             - "He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted"
  438.               (bruised, broken, fragmented people)

  440.               (Jesus came to mend and heal)

  444.         2.  YOU AND THE HOLY SPIRIT

  446.             His new name - a new dimension.
  447.             John 14:16  (Comforter)  "Paraclete"
  448.  
  449.             Four times Jesus calls Him "Comforter".
  450.             John 14:16;  14:26;  15:26;  16:7.
  451.  
  452.             "When" I depart I will send the Comforter.
  453.             We don't now have Jesus physical presence with the limitations 
  454.             of the human form, but the Divine Paraclete.
  455.  
  456.             A  further dimension,  Romans 8:26-27,  "The  Spirit  Himself
  457.             maketh  intercession  with  groanings  ...   for  the  saints
  458.             according to the will of God."

  460.             "With groanings"  (tongues)  Ephesians 5:18-20
  461.             "With intercession for the saints"  Ephesians 6:18
  462.  
  463.             The  Spirit  through your  prayers in the will of God  in  the
  464.             mind  of the Spirit on your behalf of someone else's needs and
  465.             burdens.

  467.             The Paraclete becomes all to you that He was to Jesus.

  470.             "My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in
  471.             glory  by  Christ Jesus" Phil.4:19 with  Rom.8:32,  "...freely

  476.         3.  PERSONALLY TRUSTING THE HOLY SPIRIT.

  478.             Jesus talked a great deal about the  Holy Spirit in the latter
  479.             part of His life on earth.

  481.             John  14:26,  "He  shall teach you  all things and  bring  all
  482.             things to your remembrance."
  483.  
  484.             In  three  years of teaching, the disciples apparently  didn't
  485.             learn much.
  486.  
  487.             Check.
  488.             Still  Dumb.  Acts 1:6,  "will thou restore at this  time  the
  489.             kingdom"
  490.  
  491.             Jesus words on the way to Emmaus:
  492.             Luke 24:25, "O fools and slow of heart to believe"
  493.             They didn't grasp much.
  494.  
  495.             Check.  Mark 16.

  497.             V. 1 - "They  came to anoint Him",  didn't believe He  would
  498.                     rise again.
  499.             V. 8 - "neither said they anything for they were afraid"
  500.             V.11 - "when they heard He was alive they believed not"
  501.             V.13 - "neither did the residue believe"
  502.             V.14 - Jesus  upbraided them for unbelief and  hardness  of
  503.                     heart.
  504.             V.15 - Jesus commissioned them.

  506.             JESUS TRUSTED THE WHOLE SUCCESS OF THE GOSPEL INTO THE  HANDS
  507.             OF THIS UNBELIEVING FAITHLESS MOB.

  509.             BUT...

  511.             Within  24 hours after receiving the baptism a very different
  512.             story...
  513.  
  514.             1st - They received new languages.  Acts 2:4
  515.             2nd - They understood the person of Christ.  Acts 2:30-32
  516.             3rd - They  understood  the convicting  power  of  the  Holy
  517.                   Spirit.  Acts 2:37.
  518.             4th - They developed Holy boldness.  Acts 4:13
  519.             5th - They moved in the supernatural.  (Rest of Acts.)
