Installation
Installation is easy. Follow these steps:
1 - Run the file named INSTALL.EXE
2 - Use the default paths or change as desired
3 - Hit F10 and sit back as the system is installed
4 - Hit Enter to read documentation or TAB to Exit and hit Enter
to run ClickComm. Read the Modem Configuration section of the
this document before Configuring.
3.0 - Modem Configuration
Configuring your modem is as easy as picking the modem you want
and following the prompts. For most users, configuration of your
modem will only involve 4 or 5 steps.
Step 2 - Select the communications port that your modem is connected
to.
3.01 - Modem Selecton Screen
Step 1 - Select the modem from the list that matches your modem.
If you have a modem that is not listed, we would be glad
to hear from you and help you choose the correct option.
There are Generic selections available. In most cases
this will work for you.

To select the correct modem you can use a number of options.
Keyboard Interaction
--------------------
PgUp/PgDn : Moves you through the list 23 items at a time.
up/dn
cursor
keys : Moves you through the list 1 item at
a time.
Alt - F5 : Allows you to Resize the window using you up/down
Cursor Keys. Once the window is the size you wish
Hit Enter and that window will remain until you
resize it again.
Ctrl - F5 : Allows you to move the window around the screen.
Once the window is positioned where you want it
press the enter key and the window will be
positioned there until you move it again.
Enter : Selects the modem that is highlighted and proceeds
to the next step.
Escape : Aborts the initialization
Mouse Interaction

Canceling Initialization: Click on the '■' in the upper left
corner.
Blowing up/Shrink Window: Click on the arrow in the upper
right corner.
Resizing Window : Click on the lower right corner and
drag until the window is the size
you wish.
Moving Window : Click anywhere on the top of the
box and drag to position you
desire.
Moving through the list : Clicking anywhere on the bottom
or right handside bars will
position you to that point in the
list.
Clicking on the arrow in the upper
right or lower left will move you
back one item.
Clicking on either of the arrows
in the lower right will advance
you one item.
Selecting the Item : Simply place the mouse on the item
desired and double click on the
left mouse button.
3.02 - Active Comports Screen
Step 2 - Select the communications port that your modem is connected
to. If you have more than one comport available on your
system, ClickComm will display all active ports. If you are
not sure which port your modem is in, just go through a
process of elimination. If ClickComm does not find a modem
on the selected port, it will notify you and abort the
initialization.

A box similar to this will appear if you have more than one comport.
Keyboard Comport Selection
To select the correct comport, simply hit the Tab key until 'Com Ports'
is highlighted and then use your up and down cursor keys to place the
'X' next to the comport you desire. After the 'X' has been placed
hit Alt - O for OK.
Mouse Comport Selection
To select the correct comport, simply place the mouse cursor on top
of the comport you wish and click the left button. A 'X' will appear
next to that comport. After the 'X' has appeared, click on OK.

3.03 - Intialization Commands Display Box
Step 3 - ClickComm will display the commands it is about to use to
initialize your modem. At this point you have an option
to either proceed or abort the initialization.

3.04 - Initialization/Additional Information Screen
Step 4 - If you modem initializes properly you may be presented
with a box similar to the one below. This will only show
up if there is some additional information we think you
should know about your modem. If there is no information
you will automatically go to step 5.
If you modem Initialzes correctly you will the commands listed in
the previous screen echoed to the screen. If all goes well it will
be followed by a 'OK'.

Step 5 - Once your modem has been successfully initialized you will
be presented with the following screen. If you select 'Yes'
to this option you will be taken through most of the screens
discussed in section 5.30 of the manual.
