ZModem Setup Help
This Module Allows you to setup the various Features of ZModem.
What is Zmodem?
Zmodem is a file transfer protocol that offers the best overall mix
of speed, features, and tolerance for errors. The Zmodem protocol
has many options and clearly was meant to have lots of room for
growth.
The purpose of the development of Zmodem was to provide a durable
protocol with strong error recovery features and good performance
over a variety of network types (switched, satellite, etc.). It
has generally achieved these goals and, therefore, should be the
protocol of choice whenever possible.
Simply move the 'X' to the desired selection, or type in the value, and
proceed to the next field. As you move from field to field you will
notice the messages at the bottom of the screen will change. These are
quick help messages.
Keyboard interaction
--------------------
TAB/Shift-TAB : Moves you from one option to another option.
Enter : Moves you from one option to another option.
Up/Dn Cursor Keys : This will move the 'X' placed next to the
selected item in this field.
Left/Right Cursor Keys : Moves you left and right in the field.
Ctrl - Right Cursor, : increases/decrease the Keyboard and mouse
Ctrl - Left Cursor click rate.
Alt - D : Deletes the value in the field.
Home : Places you at the begining of the field.
End : Places you at the end of the field.
Escape/Alt - C : Aborts and Exits this Module
Alt - O : Saves all changes and exits this module.
Alt - H : Provides help for this module
Mouse Interaction
-----------------
Selecting an option: Left Click on the option you desire to change. If
it is button field, it will move the 'X' to the
value you click on. If it is a string field,
it will place the cursor at the start of that
field.
Saving changes : Left Click on the OK
Help : Left Click Help
Aborting : Left Click Cancel or '■'

└────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
1 - Maximum Packet Size
The maximum number of data bytes in any one data subpacket.
2 - Window Size
This is an estimate of the turnaround delay in a Zmodem protocol.
Turnaround delay is the time, in milliseconds, required for the remote
system to acknowledge the last block. Generally, Zmodem doesn't have
any turnaround delay at all, since its data subpackets do not require
an acknowledgement. However, some Zmodem implementions may request such
acknowledgements.
This setting would be useful when dealing with satellite transmissions
3 - Time Out Period
This value describes how long Zmodem will routinely wait for the next
character in a sequence. It does not control how long Zmodem will wait
for the initial handshaking packet.
4 - Time Out Tries
This value describes how many time outs Zmodem will sustain before
aborting the session.
5 - Save Mode
These constants are used to specify the desired file management options
governing received files. The default setting is Transfer Always.
6 - Resume Downloads
Turn file recovery on (will be ignored if dest file doesn't exist).
