CHKEXCH
------------
CHKEXCH is a simple program used to check an exchange (or full phone number)
if it is in the new 905 exchange.
The program was written by Basil McGann Markham, Ontario.
You can contact me through Internet at: basil.mcgann@canrem.com or
Compuserve: 70441,2442.
This program may be considered as freeware and as such, I accept NO
responsibilities for its use.
The file "PHONEAC.NDX" is needed for the program to run.
List of files:
CHKEXCH.EXE 24,000 Wed Oct 20, 1993 20:20:20 - Main program
PHONEAC.NDX 9,191 Wed Oct 20, 1993 20:20:20 - Index file for program
NEWAC.905 1,628 Wed Oct 20, 1993 20:20:20 - Plain ascii list
README.TXT 1,609 Wed Oct 20, 1993 20:20:20 - What you are reading.
Although you do not require a users manual, here are some tips.
The program looks for the index file PHONEAC.NDX on the same disk and
subdirectory where the program resides so you could put it anywhere as
long as the index file is in the same disk/subdirectory.
When prompted to enter exchange, the exchange or full telephone number
can be entered.
Pressing the enter key when the prompt is blank or pressing Esc will
terminate the program.
The file NEWAC.905 is a plain text listing of the exchanges which are in
the new area code. This was included to save having to re-type it if
you have your own program for searching and updating a database.
