  14.        4        cup   Molasses                                          
  15.        2        cup   Shortening                                        
  16.        2        cup   Milk - sour                                       
  17.        2        tsp   Baking soda                                       
  18.        2        Tbsp  Ginger                                            
  19.        2        Tbsp  Cinnamon                                          
  20.        1        tsp   Salt                                              
  21.        2        ea    Eggs - beaten

  23.     DIRECTIONS  ------------------------------------------------------------

  25.     Sift flour in pan, form a well in center. Add shortening, molasses.   
  26.     sour milk in which soda has been dissolved. Add spices, salt and egg. 
  27.     Mix quickly to a smooth soft dough. Bake in moderate oven. This recipe
  28.     is more than 100 years old.

  30.     Note: Moderate oven is 350 - 400 F.
