  14.                       Water                                             
  15.        2        ea    Egg whites                                        
  16.                       Nuts                                              
  17.        2        cup   Sugar                                             
  18.        1        cup   Corn syrup - white                                
  19.        1        tsp   Vanilla

  21.     DIRECTIONS  ------------------------------------------------------------

  23.     Cook 1 c. sugar and water to soft ball stage. Fold into stiffly beaten
  24.     egg whites. In another kettle, cook at same  time sugar, syrup and a  
  25.     little water to hard ball stage. Pour into first mixture. Add vanilla 
  26.     and beat until it begins to harden. Add nuts if desired and pour on   
  27.     buttered plate. Cut into squares.
