SIMUDRIVE : A railway Simulator for IBM PC Compatibles
SIMUDRIVE is an all purpose Railway Driver Simulator, for IBM compatible PCs,
models 386 and above. The idea behind SIMUDRIVE is that the customer can build
up a library of routes and motive power, which are supplied as data files on
which SIMUDRIVE operates. The customer only pays for these data files, plus a
small charge for disks, postage and packing. The main SIMUDRIVE program and
data files are supplied free with each order of data files, thereby making
upgrade free and simple, allowing regular customers easy access to new
features or bugfixes. SIMUDRIVE features support for multiple running lines
and crossovers, coupled with a highly sophisticated signalling system for
realistic emulation. SIMUDRIVE is menu driven and includes full help, so
that once installed and run, playing the game should be simple. Another novel
feature SIMUDRIVE provides is that, as a result of the data file set up,
ANY motive power can be driven over ANY route. This allows the user to try
interesting combinations of routes and motive power, not possible in reality.
The customer should allow around 350 kilobytes of hard disk storage space
for the main SIMUDRIVE program, and for the time being you will also need
a colour monitor, CGA, EGA, VGA or SVGA. The data files also take up hard
disk space, as listed on separate sheets. Be sure you have enough disk space!
There is a list of available routes and a list of available motive power,
the customer can choose from. If you would like to order any of these, simply
send a completed order form to the address below. Please note that to be able
to drive a train, you need at least one route plus one type of motive power!
Any further queries can be directed to the address given below, please enclose
an SAE.
