  2.         Well, a bunch of you asked for it so here it is- printed statistics 
  3. for Front Page Sports football.  This prototype version is just bare bones, 
  4. minimal at best.  With any luck, it will wet your appetites for more.  I 
  5. spent many hours deciphering the code dynamix used for their statistics and 
  6. I hope it will be appreciated.

  8.         The use of version 1.00 is very simple, as all future versions will 
  9. be.  There is no mouse support for this product as it became more and more 
  10. difficult to add as I went along.  
  11.  
  12.         To print statistics (the only ones available in this version are for 
  13. last week's game) use the arrow keys to choose the league from the first menu 
  14. and press enter.  If the league you are looking for is not in the 
  15. current directory (denoted at the top of the menu), use the arrow keys to 
  16. select a new directory and hit enter.  Note that the F1 key allows you to 
  17. change the active drive.

  19.         A list of all the teams in your chosen league will then appear on 
  20. the screen.  Choose one (again using the arrow keys then enter) and, provided 
  21. that team has played a game during the last week, it's player stats will be 
  22. written to a file entitled team.txt where "team" is the three letter 
  23. abbreviation of that team's name.  This file then can be easily printed using 
  24. a normal print command from the dos prompt.  If no game was played by the 
  25. choosen team in the current week, you will be told so and no stats file will 
  26. be created.  The ESC key will move you back to the previous screen (except 
  27. when stats files are being created) or exit you from the program.

  29.         By the time most of you read this, I will have put the finishing 
  30. touches on version 2.00.  This version will have all three types of stats
  31. available (game, season, carrer) for a single team.  I have also had
  32. a couple of requests for printing league standings.  This should not be a
  33. problem and, while it is not yet done, it shouldn't be difficult to  
  34. incorporate it into version 2.00.

  36.         Give version 1.00 a try and if you have any problems, please let me
