  1. First time use
  2. --------------

  4. When you start Market View for the first time, you have to tell the programm
  5. which graphics driver to use:
  6.  
  7. MV /GVGA for VGA or
  8.  
  9. MV /GEGA for EGA or
  10.  
  11. MV /GHGC for Hercules
  12.  
  13. Upgrading from a previous version of Market View
  14. ------------------------------------------------

  16. From version 1.60, Market View uses a new MVO format. You have to upgrade
  17. your files by using the MVCONV utility.
  18.  
  19. Backup your MVO files and type:
  20.  
  21. MVCONV *.MVO
  22.  
  23. in your MVO directory, to convert the files from version 1.00 to version 1.60.
  24.  
  25. If you have MVO files created or saved by Market View 1.60, please run:
  26.  
  27. MVCONV *.MVO /FIX
  28.  
  29. in your MVO directory to convert the old DIFF() functions into MO().

  31. Teletext
  32. --------
  33.  
  34. When you have a Keyword Teletext card with embedded tuner, you first have to
  35. set up the frequencies for the TV channels. You must start Market View with
  36. the /NORTPP parameter to disable RTPP.
  37.  
  38. Select "Teletext" from the "Options" menu and set up the "Frequency" for each
  39. channel you want to use. Open the Teletext viewer window by using the "Open"
  40. function from the "Window" menu. If all channels display good Teletext, you
  41. can exit Market View and start it again to activate RTPP. Don't forget to save
  42. the options when you leave MV.

  44. NOTE: The support for the embedded tuner is not tested. If you have problems
  45. with it or it just works fine, please contact Watermill Software Design.
