  8.  These utilities convert quotes that are file captured using
  9.  Dow Jones //CQE or //TRACK feature for direct import to Quicken(tm)
  10.  or your favorite spreadsheet.
  11.  
  12.  The program correctly converts all types of stock or mutual
  13.  fund quotes and saves them to your Quicken or spreadsheet directory
  14.  in a file named "D".
  15.  
  16.  This program includes two text files which direct the inputs and
  17.  outputs of the program. Since your program locations will likely be
  18.  different than the defaults used in these files you may need to
  19.  customize these files to make them work automatically on your
  20.  computer. You may use any good text editor to modify these text files -
  21.  just be sure that your editor saves in what is commonly called ASCII
  22.  or text format. The following are good choices to use to edit these
  23.  files: the DOS program EDIT.COM; Windows Notepad; Xtree; Magellan; or
  24.  any word processor the has the option to read and save in text format.

  26.                           Installation
  27. ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
  28.  The program will work with Quicken (DOS or Windows) and most
  29.  major spreadsheets.
  30.  
  31.  If starting from a floppy run INSTALL.BAT, otherwise create a
  32.  directory on your hard drive named DSU and copy all the files
  33.  on the program disk to this directory.
  34.  
  35.                    Setup & Running the program
  36. ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
  37. After copying the program files as instructed above, run each step
  38. of the program manually until your are familiar with how they should
  39. work.

  43.   1. Log onto Dow Jones News Retrieval         Program must be able to save

  147.     program that will automate your steps when on-line. Most good comm.
  148.     programs have a learn mode for accomplishing this task.

  197. from the service you are using and what the converted format should look like
  198. if other than Quicken. We will let you know if we can write the conversion
  199. program for you (we reserve all rights to such a program and may sell same
  200. to others). If the format is a straight forward text or comma delimited file,
  201. send $10 and we'll usually be able to mail it to you within 30 days. If its
  202. more complicated send us a spec of what you want and will tell you if we can
  203. do it. Always give us your on-line mail address in case we have questions.
