  22.                     The Loan Chief Lite - Program Overview
  23.  
  24. Loan calculating has never been this easy!  Loan Chief is a financial software
  25. program designed with ease and flexibility in mind. It comes complete with a
  26. variety of loan tools for calculating Loan Amortization Schedules, Loan
  27. Charts and Loan Calculators for solving for missing values. Each financial
  28. tool contains a variety of options to allow maximum flexibility.

  30. The Loan Amortization tool allows variable payments, interest rates and
  31. compounding methods.  Professional schedules can be generated with monthly,
  32. quarterly, semi-annual or annual detail.  Special options are available to
  33. illustrate the savings incurred with an early payoff of a loan.  Several
  34. predefined acceleration methods are available in addition to a variable 
  35. payment which allows optimum flexibility.  Accelerated schedules can be
  36. illustrated side by side with the original schedule.  Another special option
  37. is the ability to show tax savings with mortgages.

  39. The Loan Chart tool produces a chart of loan values based on the criteria
  40. you select.  You select the type of loan values you want computed--it may 
  41. be loan payments, loan principal amounts, months in a loan or the interest
  42. rate.  Once you choose what you want to solve for, you enter one of the
  43. remaining loan values as a constant and the other two as a range of values.
  44. A chart is produced solving for all loan values specified in the ranges.

  46. Loan Chief is a menu driven program that also contains an on-line manual and
  47. individual help for each input to allow the user to easily navigate and
  48. understand the program. Configuration options are available for selecting 
  49. screen colors and printers.

  85.   The following is a list of features found in the "Professional" version of
  86.   the Loan Chief which are not found in the "Lite" version.
  87.    * Contains the ability to add a client name to the schedule. 
  88.    * Contains the ability to add an agent name to the schedule.
  89.    * Contains the ability to add 3 permanent header lines and 3 permanent
  90.      footer lines.  These can be used for company name, address, phone
  91.      number or anything.
  92.    * Contains the ability to add additional footnotes to appear on all pages
  93.      or just on the last page of a schedule.
  94.    * Contains the ability to turn bolding on or off for schedule totals,
  95.      headers and footers.
  96.    * Contains an enhanced filing system where information can be saved for
  97.      multiple clients.
  98.    * Contains the ability to set defaults for the schedule printing
  99.      options.  These include the "Print Destination", "Schedule Detail",
  100.      "Yearly Basis", "Cumulative Values", "Cumulative Totals", "Dollar
  101.      Values", "Date Format" and "Sequence Column".  Your preferred setting
  102.      of these options can be set and will be saved so that these options
  103.      are the default options every time that the program is run.

  106.      files which include the Printer Definition File, On-Line Manual and
  107.      Saved Client Information.

  115.   Shareware is a marketing concept in which copyrighted software products
  116.   are distributed by allowing and encouraging duplication of the program 
  117.   for evaluation by interested parties.  As a recipient of a shareware 
  118.   program, you are granted the right to use the program for a short period
  119.   to determine if it meets your needs.  The program developer receives
  120.   payment from the users after they have determined that the product meets
  121.   their needs.  The motivation for making payment for a shareware program
  122.   is honest payment for a valuable tool, desire for support, updates,
  123.   enhancements and documentation, and to help encourage shareware authors
  124.   to produce additional quality programs.

  138.   be made.
